In college, we used to go apple picking at Honey Pot Hill (located in Stow, MA). The orchard is beautiful, and there is a fun petting zoo. They also serve warm apple cider donuts (yum!). Anyhow, I've been making this apple crisp since college and it's really easy and tasty.
4 cups sliced and peeled apples
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup flour
½ cup oats
1/3 cup unsalted butter
¾ teaspoon cinnamon
¾ teaspoon nutmeg
Put apples into greased 8 x 8 pan, mix ingredients & sprinkle over apples, bake for 30 minutes at 350°, until brown & tender. Serve with light cream or ice cream.
